Yes, Another Toyota Recall: 2010 Camry
By Chris Weiss
It’s getting difficult to keep track. What would otherwise be a pretty minor recall is one more blow to Toyota’s crumbling reputation.
Yesterday, Toyota announced a recall of 7,300 2010 Camry four-cylinders completely unrelated to any of its previous recalls. The new recall involves a power steering hose that is too short and can cause brake fluid leaking. The crimp from the power steering hose can gradually wear through the brake hose. The issue can lead to decreased braking function and increased stopping distance once the fluid begins to leak.
Toyota will be adding owners of affected models to its gigantic mailing list. Those owners can expect to receive letters this month. [via LeftLaneNews]

I've received a recall notice for my 2007 Toyota Yaris – according to the letter from the Australian government body overseeing the recall, my Yaris has some concerns regarding the passenger seatbelts. There is potential for the mechanism to …"catch fire" ????! I was told I was surprisingly prompt with booking in my car to be reviewed / repaired. Prompt…you think?!!

A big company like Toyota did what they had to do to prevent more incidents from happening, especially in US where people are quick to resort to suing. I do not need to emphasize here why brake fuel leaks are serious, so yes, sorry if you bought a model that is recalled, but isn't the recall for your own safety?
