Volkswagen and Suzuki to Begin Working Jointly

Volkswagen acquired a 19.9 percent stake in Suzuki this past week and the two companies will begin working together early next month. The specifics of their intended work have yet to be detailed, but it is known that Volkswagen purchased the stake in order to gain access to Suzuki’s experience with small vehicles.
Suzuki CEO Osamu Suzuki told Reuters: “We generally understand what we want from each other, through information exchange up to now.”
We don’t expect a VW/Suzuki to be in the category of lust-worthy, but we are interested to see what comes out of the new cooperative effort. [via LeftLaneNews]
