Already a leader of compact efficiency, the Prius just got a little brother. Toyota debuted the FT-CH hybrid concept in Detroit today. The new concept is 22 inches shorter than the Prius and an inch narrower, promising to offer even better fuel efficiency than its larger sibling.

Toyota didn’t offer many hard details on the concept, but did express its commitment toward producing a variety of hybrids in the future. The company stated that it intends to sell a million hybrids per year, with the majority being sold in North America. To accomplish the goal, Toyota has total of eight brand new hybrid models slated for production over the coming years.
