Toyota To Offer Extra Services to Owners of Recalled Vehicles

Toyota plans to take customer service a step beyond complimentary coffee and a magazine rack in light of its recall disaster. In an effort to take a little bit of customer pain out of the recall process, Toyota will extend such courtesies as driving vehicles to and from dealerships, offering free rentals and coughing up cab money.

Don’t let the company pull too much wool over your eyes, however. According to Inside Line’s report, the action came only after pressure by New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo. U.S. Congressman echoed sentiments for these actions in last week’s hearings.
