Three New BMW Crossovers Coming to U.S.

By

Crossovers are all the rage these days, and BMW has three models slated to hit the U.S. market over the year and a half. As part of an overall BMW group new model expansion, BMW will send the X1, Mini crossover and new X3 to the U.S. in the months that lay ahead. Arriving on shore late next year, the X1 will come in front- and all-wheel-drive varieties and will feature a six-cylinder engine. The Cooper crossover has yet to be named, but will also come in front- and all-wheel and will range in price from $29K to $34K. That one’s expected in early 2011. The X3 is a redesign that’s expected to be larger than the current edition and will be manufactured here in the states at BMW’s Spartanburg plant. It will hit in early 2011. [via Motor Authority]
