There’s most certainly a joke about the FF being a dog in here, but I think the story about the best footage yet of the Ferarri FF coming from a dog-sledding duo really outshines any attempt at such a comparison. So right to the story…

Somewhere in the mountains of Europe, Ferrari was doing some testing of its first-ever 4WD, and dog sledders just happened to be passing by and they just happened to have a video camera filming the FF’s every move. While they only got about 30 seconds worth of footage, it’s some of the cleanest shots yet that we’ve seen of Ferrari’s shooting brake. Who knew it would come from mushers?

Tesla plans to get its first sedan out next year and it has begun testing the first of two prototypes: the Model S Alpha. The new Model S shows a few slight design variations from the versions that we’ve seen in the past at auto shows, including a new front fascia with air intakes in the bumper.

Tesla released some video of its hot, electric sedan so you can give it the full eye over. Excuse the cliche, but it’s definitely not your daddy’s family sedan.

The Model S will offer a range of up to 300 miles while delivering performance of 5.6 seconds to 60 mph. It’s scheduled to debut next year at a price of $57,000–before tax breaks. After the Alpha, Tesla will test out a Beta version before building the final production model.

Got two minutes? Put them to good use by seeing some of the sweetest footage yet of the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4. Yeah, it’s still in camo, but you’ll get a good look at Lambo’s all-new flagship from just about every angle–including some footage from inside the cabin. Plus you’ll get to hear that sweet 691-hp V12 purr and purr.

What’s hotter than a 500-model, $375K supercar? A 500-model, $375K supercar pulling donuts around a supermodel in matching bikini. That’s one of many exhilarating things that you’ll see if you pop open the 2011 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, which hit newsstands today.

Model Rianne Ten Haken looked her sexiest while a Lexus LFA ran smoking circles around her in an airport hangar. Not your usual rolling-in-the-sand SI Swimsuit shoot, but pretty damn sexy all the same.

VW made a big stir with its “The Force” Super Bowl commercial, earning near-universal recognition as the best commercial of the night. And there’s no reason for VW to just let that hype fade away without a fight. The German automaker promptly released a short clip of bloopers from the shoot. The big game is over. All that’s left is crumbs, empty beer cans, heartburn and some memories. And while the game itself served up plenty of memories, everyone must have at least one or two cars fresh in their minds. Car companies hit the game hard and manufacturers including Audi, BMW, Chevy, Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes and Volkswagen each coughed up the big bucks for at least one or two commercials during game time. So what was the best car ad of the game?

Well everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion, but two videos have risen to the top. Chrysler’s lengthy, Eminem/Detroit spot made a big impression, but it seems that Volkswagen’s “The Force” with lil’ Darth Vader had an even bigger impact. AdBowl.com has it rated the number one video overall, and USA Today puts it at #3. It also ranks #2 on the Viral Video Chart (behind a non-Super-Bowl video). Most other lists have it somewhere within the top 5 or 10. So without further adieu….

In all the Pagani hub-bub earlier this week, I missed one of the most important parts: a video that gives a close-up of the Pagani from inside and out. It shows details that you don’t quite get from the pictures.

The video was put up by Evo magazine. It shows the air flaps in action and provides some engine audio–audio loud enough to scare a rather fierce looking German shephard.

Last week, word surfaced that the 2012 Nissan GT-R will come equipped with a new version of launch control. Translation: Godzilla is going to come out of the gate running fast. 2.9 seconds to 60 mph worth of fast.

Today, a video showing some testing of the GT-R puts the improved acceleration into visual perspective. And as you’d expect with those types of numbers, it’s impressive to watch.

The Nissan GT-R was originally equipped with launch control, but due to its penchant to ruin the transmission, Nissan eliminated it in 2009. With the loss of launch control, the GT-R’s acceleration capability fell back toward earth (though it was still plenty quick). With a more powerful, 523-hp twin-turbo V6 and a reactivated launch control function, the 2012 GT-R promises to be quicker than ever. It will be available for sale at Nissan dealers all across the country; from Nissan of Nissan of Peoria AZ to Nissan of New York dealerships. Get your first taste after the jump. [via TotheFloor]

Porsche announced the Panamera S Hybrid last week, and has updated that announcement with two new promo videos for its latest hybrid. The videos provide some nice footage of the car driving around scenic parts of Europe’s urban and rural enclaves.

The Panamera S Hybrid is Porsche’s most efficient car ever. It features a 333-hp 3.0-liter V6 engine, a 47-hp electric motor, NiMh batteries, and an eight-speed Tiptronic S transmission. It’ll hit the U.S. market later this year with a base price of $95,000.

Pagani has released the third of five teaser videos of its upcoming Deus Venti (or maybe Huayra) supercar, a little piece it calls “Shape of the Wind”. As would be expected in any teaser video series, the latest video provides the most intimate (though still entirely vague and inadequate) look at the car, showing such elements as the steering wheel and wheels.

Pagani will debut the Mercedes AMG V12-powered Deus Venti at the Geneva Motor Show in March. Hit the jump for the video.

The same way that money can’t buy you class, an expensive sports or luxury car can’t buy you driving skills. And over and over again, drivers of expensive cars prove that.

Take this video for example. Mulholland Highway outside of Los Angeles, is one of the most scenic, fun roads to drive in an area filled with expensive, exotic cars of all kinds. So it’s a natural place for a little weekend cruising. In fact, Jay Leno–LA’s most famous exotic car guy–has used the road in his video tests. And while Leno fared okay around Mulholland’s twists and turns, not every driver has been so adept. Just take a look at the video montage of awful Mulholland driving after the jump. It’s a hoot. Teasers aren’t really known for revealing much. That’s kind of the point. But we usually get a shadowy silhouette or pair of headlights, something to grab onto while we anticipate the full reveal.

Pagani has given us none of that in teasing its upcoming C9 supercar. All it’s given us is 30 seconds worth of irrelevance for about two seconds worth of a small C9 model. Lame.

The model shows us what the rear of the car will look like with its taillight clusters and center quad exhaust–something we’ve already seen in spy shots. Other than that, nothing. Oh well, let’s hope they have a few more teasers before Geneva. [via WCF]
