There’s nothing like some quality testing footage of an up-in-coming supercar. In this clip, we see the aggressive but uber-sexy Aston Martin One-77 scorching around the track during dry testing. Hear the engine rumble. Watch the car make short work of the track. Feel the wind showering your face. Enjoy a special moment in Aston history.
The beautiful piece of Astonery that is the One-77 is powered by a 7.3-liter V12 engine worth 700 horses. The coupe captures 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds and has clocked a top speed over 220 mph.
As you probably could have guessed, 77 models will be built and sold beginning later this year. You may not be one of those lucky 77, but you can enjoy the One-77 just the same by hitting ‘Continue’. [via Zercustoms]

What good is the Geneva Motor Show if you can’t learn about slight improvements upon European supercars that you may or may not have known even exist? The Gumpert Apollo S isn’t a 2010 release, but it may just be saying hello to you for the first time.
Gumpert has made a few improvements on its supercar that it showcased at Geneva, including adding 50 horses (up to 750 hp) by improving cooling and optimizing engine control. Gumpert has also shortened the gear shifts as low as 40 milliseconds, making for smoother shifting.
The German automaker has also introduced a right-hand version and updated the Apollo S with improved downforce from new tail flaps and LED running lights up front. [via AutoBlog]

Yesterday, we got a look at one of the prize fighters of the Geneva Motor Show: the Porsche 918 Spyder hybrid, a triumph of power, beauty and efficiency that must be seen firsthand to be believed. While Porsche won’t buy you a ticket to Geneva to take a look, our friends in Stuttgart did release a promotional video of the new concept. You’ll have to sit through a bit of dramaticized Porsche history before you hit the goods, but you’ll see a flash of the 918 Spyder concept that will make the two minutes worth your while. Automakers approaching a major auto show are a little like kids on Christmas Eve: they just can’t wait until the day is officially here. Lamborghini is the latest automaker to introduce a Geneva centerpiece a little early. The Raging Bull has provided the full details of its spanking-new, lightning-fast Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera, which loses weight and gains power and performance.
Lamborghini has broken the 3,000-lb. mark, cutting the weight of the Superleggera down to 2,954 lbs through the use of generous amounts of carbon fiber and polycarbonate. It also adds a modest 10 horses to the car by tuning the engine management software. The Superleggera uses a six-speed e-gear transmission.

Let’s just go ahead and call this supercar Friday. Next up on our list: the Koenigsegg Agera, a power miser boasting 910 horses and 811 lb-ft of torque. That performance is derived from Koenigsegg’s 4.7-liter V8 engine. Combine the power with carbon-fiber/kevlar/aluminum honeycomb construction limiting weight to just 2,832 lbs., and you get to 62 in just 3.1 seconds, double that in 8.9 seconds and don’t stop accelerating until you hit a whopping 245 + mph top speed. That would make the Agera the highest-performing supercar of our Friday, February 26 triumvirate.

With the new Pagani C9 on its way, the supercar maker is sending off its Zonda in style with a final, limited-edition variant called the Tricolore. The most immediately noticeable part of the Tricolore is the distinct, semi-transparent-blue paint job that gives onlookers an eyeful of the carbon fiber underneath. The car’s name comes from its tribute to the Italian air force, seen in the aforementioned jet-fighter color scheme and inclusion of red, green and white striping.

What would the Geneva Motor Show be without a few uber-limited supercars from European firms you’ve never heard of? This one is the C25 from German company Carlsson. Carlsson began with a Mercedes SL 600 and sought to design a car that offers exclusivity and performance while remaining ‘practical’ enough to drive around the town every day. The performance end is handled by a bi-turbo V12 engine that puts out 753 horses and up to 1320 Nm of torque. On-road that combination translates into a 3.7-second 0 to 62 mph run and a top speed just over 218 mph.

The Ferrari 599 GTO has been stuck in the rumormill for a few months now, and Ferrari CEO Amedeo Feliza has made it official. In fact, Feliza made it clear that Ferrari will be issuing a variety of new models, getting started with the 458 Italia and following up with a 458 Spider drop-top.
Feliza said that the GTO is already in the works and will be a lighter, suped-up version of the 599 GTB. Feliza didn’t get too detailed, but previous rumors have the V12 engine from the 599 tuned up to pump out around 700 horses.

There are dozens of Ferraris that average folks could dream about for hours on end. The Ferrari 599XX is so damn hot and powerful, you could actually day dream about dreaming about it while drooling all over yourself in the middle of your crowded office and it’d still be one of the best moments of your week.
What’s better than day dreaming? Watching footage of the 599XX unleashed on the track. Over the weekend, the first owners and F1 racer Felipe Massa hit the track in Valencia. Of course, some footage was involved.
