It seemed to take a lifetime, but Lamborghini has officially debuted the Aventador LP700-4, offering an array of interior and exterior pictures. It will come in 13 colors and options will include a premium sound system and back-up camera.

We’ve been covering Aventador news so regularly that we won’t bore you with rehashed details. But you can scour the press release and pictures after the break.

Lambo Aventador Leak 2 Leaky Lambo Aventador Strikes Again

Three more pictures. That’s today’s bounty. We now have a much better look at the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 thanks to a profile and angled front-end picture that originated on Jalopnik yesterday. We see the masterful balance of big curves and sharp lines that Lamborghini combined to make an absolutely stunning flagship. The pictures appear to be out of the same magazine as the first leaked picture from earlier this week.

All we need now is a photo of the rear. Take a good hard look and decide for yourself if it’s not the next logical step forward from the Countach, Diablo and Murcielago. [via Jalopnik]

Another Teaser For The Gumpert Tornante?

Thursday, February 24, 2011 9:02PM - By

Speculation has it that this here is a second teaser picture of the Gumpert Tornante. While no one seems to know the exact origin of the photo, the car’s overall shape does look a lot like that of the first Tornante picture that we saw. And the clean taillights certainly look like they’d complement the smooth curves around the body. Of course, the lines are a little sharper in this particular picture, but the first picture was a rather abstract illustration, so that doesn’t necessarily convince us that it’s not the Tornante.

I suppose we’ll know for sure when Gumpert unveils its new Touring Superleggera-designed tourer in Geneva next week. [via Motor Authority]

Pagani Huayra Official: Pagani Huayra Is Coming To The States

We had heard that Pagani was making its all-new Huayra compliant with U.S. regulations, and now it’s official: the Italian supercar-maker will be sending the gullwinged Huayra our way. If you haven’t been following, that will make the Huayra the first Pagani to be sold in the States–the Zonda didn’t comply with U.S. regulations.

The Huayra, which will debut next month in Geneva, will make it here sometime later this year.

McLaren MP4 12C1 McLaren Releases Official Specs For the MP4 12C

It kind of took forever, but McLaren has come clean with the official performance specs of the MP4-12C, now that production is underway. The 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 will pump out 592 horses and will push the coupe to 62 mph in 3.3 seconds. Drivers will be able to shave .2 seconds off that time in optional Corsa tires, and will be able to double that speed in 9.1 seconds (8.9 with Corsa tires). Top speed won’t come until 205 mph.

And to think, the MP4-12C will just be the entry-level supercar of the McLaren family… [via WCF]

Gumpert Tornante First Picture Of Gumperts All New Tornante

Gumpert has an all-new, sophisticated supercar to show in Geneva and it’s revealing a card or two a little early. The German minds behind the Apollo released the first look at the new car today.

The Tornante was developed with the help of Italian firm Touring Superleggera. This is evidenced immediately by the more refined exterior when compared with the powerful but not necessarily attractive Apollo. Gumpert’s gotten some sexy.

Ferrari FF 3 Ferrari FF Action Photos Released

We’ve seen a few rather dull studio shots of Ferrari’s shooting brake concept already, but Maranello has upgraded our portfolio with a few pictures of the car doing some time in the snow. The location of the photos provide a reminder that the FF concept will preview Ferrari’s first all-wheel-drive vehicle.

As Ferrari detailed last month, the FF is a sneak peak at the 612 Scaglietti replacement. The four-seat, two-door hatch is powered by a 651-hp 6.3-liter V12 engine and boasts a 3.7-second to 62 mph time and a 208 mph top speed. It’ll debut in Geneva next month. [via WCF]

Lamborghini Teases Aventador LP700-4

Monday, February 7, 2011 6:15PM - By

With just three more weeks to go before Geneva, Lamborghini has released a teaser picture of a camoed-up Aventador. The picture doesn’t give us anything that spy photos haven’t, but it’s certainly a good look at the overall shape of the new top Bull. We expect to see a few more official teasers from Lambo over the next few weeks.

Recap: The Aventador LP700-4 will carry 691 hp and 509 lb-ft of torque in an all-new 6.5-liter V12 engine. It’s expected to hit 62 mph in 2.9 seconds and top out at 217 mph.

Lambo will pull all the covers off on March 1. [via InsideLine]

New Ford GT Under Development And It Looks Like a Hybrid

ford gt New Ford GT Under Development And It Looks Like a Hybrid

In the absence of the Dodge Viper, there really aren’t enough top-end sports cars from the American Big Three at the moment. That deficit won’t last long, though. A new Viper is on the way, and it looks like it may be joined by a Ford GT.

According to reports, Ford is developing an all-new GT with a supercharged V8 engine. Ford’s also looking to add a front-mounted electric motor for a little extra juice when accelerating. Total output is rumored to be around 600 horses.

With a more powerful powertrain, and a lightweight body in the 3,000-lb. range, the next-gen GT should beat the last GT’s 205-mph top speed and mid-three-second 0-to-60 mph time. No word yet on the time frame Ford is working with, but we’ll be on the lookout. [via Auto Express]
