While pictures of the NSX-replacing Honda HSV-010 have been plentiful around the Web for the past month or so, information has been scarce until today. Honda has dropped the spec sheet on the new car, which it intends to race in the GT500 class of Japan’s Super GT.
The new Honda Sports Velocity racer drops the originally slated V10 for a naturally-aspirated, liquid-cooled 3.4-liter V8 capable of over 500 horsepower and 292 lb-ft of torque. The engine is front-mounted and drives the rear wheels. Combining power with lightweight design, the HSV-010 weighs in at 2,425 lbs. Unfortunately, performance figures weren’t a part of the new information.
