Any tune that’s called a VelociRaptor is bound to be impressive and the new Hennessy Ford F150 SVT VelociRaptor 500 does not disappoint. Hennessy adds nearly 200 horses to the 5.8-liter V8 with the addition of a Whipple supercharger–boosting performance out to the namesake 500 hp and 520 lb-ft of torque. Hennessy also adds a K&N air filter, upgraded fuel injectors, stainless steel headers and stainless steel exhaust while retuning the ECU.

The result? That burly frame will now make the jaunt to 60 in just 5.4 seconds. That’s a pretty nice upgrade over the stock 8.4-second mark.

Hennessey is currently in the process of putting together the Venom GT. A rather insane project, the GT combines the sheer, unwavering muscle power of a 1,000 hp twin-turbo LS9 V8 with a heavily-modded 2,400-lb Lotus Elise body.

The initial prototype, which will output about 650 to 700 hp, is being prepped for road testing in January. To avoid adding any flab to the sleek frame, Hennessey is fitting the Venom with carbon fiber wheels and carbon Brembo brakes. It’s expected to dash to 62 in  2.4 seconds and not quit until 262 mph.

This one has got us on the very edge of our seats.
