Giulietta Configurator Alfa Romeo Launches Giulietta Configurator

The Alfa Romeo Giulietta may not be quite as over-the-top incredi-awesome as the Koenigsegg Agera, but it’s a juicy little ride that looks pretty damn good in picture and video. And tinkering around with a hot car beats 90 percent of the other crap that you use the Internet for.

Alfa launched the Giulietta configurator today and potential buyers (or anyone who just likes it) can fiddle around with different engine options, colors, interiors and all the other little factors that make a Giulietta great. We really like the “Nero Etna” pictured above. We’ll take one in Quadrifoglio Verde trim please.

Alfa Romeo Giulietta car Alfa Romeo Giulietta Promo Video

We’ve spent enough time looking at the new Alfa Romeo Giulietta that not featuring the promo video for the hatchback would just be silly. The video spends a little time showing the latest Alfa with some ghosts of Giuletta’s past. It also shows some of the tech behind the new hatch. It all happens to what’s likely the most annoying tune you’ll hear all day, so do yourself a favor and hit mute before play.

The Giulietta made its official debut in Geneva. It will feature five diesel and petrol engine options ranging from 105 to 235 horsepower. [via Carscoop]

Alfa Romeo Giuletta Alfa Romeo Giulietta Tears Through Swedish Snow

We saw plenty of the Geneva-bound Giulietta back in December. Alfa Romeo has now released some video of the little C-segment cutting through the snow during winter testing in Arjeplog, Sweden. The car might not be your first choice for a slog to the local grocer in a blizzard, but the video makes a compelling argument.

The Giuletta will replace the 147 when it hits the Euro market this summer. It will be offered with three petrol engines: a 1.4-liter 120 hp turbo, a 1.4 liter 170 hp turbo and a 235 1.7-liter turbo. 105hp and 170 hp diesel versions will also be available.

Alfa Romeo Giuletta Alfa Romeo Giulietta Gets Detailed

The first official picture of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta was released last week, and since then, Alfa has given the full details on the hatch.

Set to make its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show, the five-door will get five engine options, with two diesels and two petrols spitting out up to 235 hp. The Giulietta will also benefit from a variety of techy safety and handling features that should add up to a highly responsive ride. These  include Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), Dynamic Steering Torque (DST) and DNA, a feature that allows owners to set handling performance to their own specifications.

The Giulietta name is a throwback to the popular circa 1950s Alfa and is part of the ongoing celebration of the company’s 100th birthday. It’ll hit European showrooms next spring. [via Telegraph]
