There’s about a week and a half until Christmas. Depending upon the specifics of your job, that might mean a manic year-end rush or it might mean trying to kill some time before your holiday vacation. If you’re in the former category, we can’t help you much, but if you’re in the latter, here’s a new toy: a brand new Bugatti Veyron configurator.
After debuting the final production-ready Karma at the Paris Motor Show, Fisker took one more step toward production, opening its website up to Karma configuration. The virtual Karma chameleon can change between eight exterior colors, three trim levels and seven interiors. Unfortunately, five of those exterior colors are grey, darker grey, charcoal, bluish-grey and silver. Oh, also–white. Red and blue are really your only two colorful choices.
Wow, we’ve been having all kinds of 911 GT2 RS fun this week. First an announcement. Then pictures and video. And now a configurator so that we can all design our own.
You can choose various colors to sex the Porsche beyond the plain-Jane silver Porsche has been showing it in, and you can add some options to complement the carbon hood. You can also get down to work with that beautiful Alcantara/leather interior, choosing seats and colors. To use, jump to Porsche’s international website, drop down to 911, select the GT2 RS and then hit “Build your own.”

As if you didn’t have enough to do with your iPhone, Rolls Royce has given you one more reason to space out in the middle of a meeting while playing on your smartphone. Our two favorite successive R’s in the English language have provided iPhone and iPod Touch users their very own Ghost configurator.
Available for free at iTunes, Rolls Royce’s first smartphone app lets users choose from 12 exterior colors, eight leather tones, five types of veneer and some other options.

Remember that old BMW commercial where people would stare longingly at their BMWs from their office windows? Well, if you don’t have a BMW to stare at, and are still a little hungover from weekend festivities, why not stare longingly at the BMW that you helped to create?
BMW recently launched its 5-Series configurator and you can experiment with different paints, various wood trims and leather colors, and a cabin-full of other options on the 2011 535i and 550i sedans.
If you plan to put down actual coin on a newly personalized 5-Series, it will run you $50,475 base for the 535i and $60,575 for the 550i. Find the 5-Series and all BMW’s configurators here. [via egmCarTech]
Friday afternoons and car configurators go together like Friday evenings and happy hour, so it’s nice to see another configurator available on this fine Friday of April 9. Last Friday, we saw the McLaren configurator and this Friday we have the newly-unsheathed 599 GTO configurator.

The Alfa Romeo Giulietta may not be quite as over-the-top incredi-awesome as the Koenigsegg Agera, but it’s a juicy little ride that looks pretty damn good in picture and video. And tinkering around with a hot car beats 90 percent of the other crap that you use the Internet for.
Alfa launched the Giulietta configurator today and potential buyers (or anyone who just likes it) can fiddle around with different engine options, colors, interiors and all the other little factors that make a Giulietta great. We really like the “Nero Etna” pictured above. We’ll take one in Quadrifoglio Verde trim please.
