You’re still trying to wrap your mind around things like Sync, in-car Wi-Fi and ITunes tagging and Ford is forging ahead and making those look like last decade’s tech. During CES, Ford has introduced the MyFord Touch in-car computer system, which is basically the next logical step ahead from the Sync system.
The name may not scream high-tech–MyFord Touch, really? Did they jot that down on the back of a notebook three minutes before speech time?–but the system promises to integrate a variety of functions and controls into a new, intuitive interface that should greatly enhance the drive. The system features a main eight-inch touchscreen in the center and two 4.2-inch LCD displays on either side of the speedometer. Steering-mounted controls complete the physical package.
