We’ve already seen the Bentley Mulsanne from just about every possible angle, except for the one that we most want to see: driving around on scenic highways. Now, that problem is officially in the past.

Bentley released some video of the Mulsanne taking a relaxing drive through the Scotland for a perfect pairing of natural and manmade scenery. It’s not full-fledged track acceleration, but it’s pretty easy on the eyes.

Word to the wise: hit the mute button before the play button on this one, unless you like glass-shatteringly high-pitched singing. [via WCF]

Not content with the 550 to 600 horses Bentley pulled out of its twin-turbocharged 12-cylinder engine, German tuner Wheelsandmore has created the not-so-delicately-named Wheelsandmore Bentley Continental Ultrasports 702. We like the Ultrasports designation, we just wish it didn’t take so long to get there.

2011 bentley mulsanne Video:The 2011 Bentley Mulsanne Tested and Approved

Two weeks ago, we saw the meticulous care that went into the design of the interior of the 2011 Bentley Mulsanne, the kind of meticulous care that you’d expect when laying down nearly $300K on a car.  While we haven’t featured the entire six-part series, we thought it only proper to feature the last piece of the video behind-the-scenes, which shows the final testing that the Mulsanne undergoes before heading out into the hands of its tycoon owner. Watch the “hands and the eyes” of the customer do their final walk-through after the break. [via MotorAuthority]

Appealing to wealthy Chinese consumers at the Beijing Auto Show, Bentley has introduced two new Continental special editions that it calls the Design Series China. As one might expect from the name, the new Continental GT and Continental Flying Spur Speed are distinguished largely by cosmetic changes. You can see the Orange and Magenta exterior colors, which make their debut on the Design Series China models. Inside, the cars get a unique, three-toned leather interior with accent and insert colors.

Not much changes in terms of specs, but the two models do benefit from a comfort suspension setting. Enjoy a full look after the button. [via MotorAuthority]

2011 Bentley Continental Supersports Convertible Bentley Shows Off Yellow Continental Supersports Drop Top In New York

Bentley held its press conference today at the New York Auto Show and key to its presentation was the new 2011 Continental Supersports Convertible, all dressed up in a light-yellow paint scheme that we’re fondly calling banana split. The Supersports is Bentley’s most powerful convertible ever, featuring a 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged W12 engine good for 612 horses. Like all 2011 Continentals, the convertible is flex-fuel capable, running on gasoline, E85 bioethanol or a combination thereof.

The Continental Supersports Convertible will be priced from $280,400 and will be landing in dealers this summer. [via Auto123]

The 2011 Bentley Continental GT was recently spied out of its cage, and we’re digging the coupe more than ever. The face of the GT appears to have gotten a little Botox, pulling some of the lines off the edges and making for a much smoother, rounder appearance. The headlights have also been reworked. Overall, it looks a tad sexier than its predecessor.

bentley suitcase croco Russian Bentley Gets Faux Crocodile Coat

Wow, this is one tragic monstrosity. The Russian-born Bentley Suitcase Croco is a Bentley Continental Supersports dressed up to look like a big crocodile. Lovers of those scaly, vise-jawed reptiles need not worry; that horrendous outer layer was pulled off the backs of a more benign breed: African buffalo. For reason unbeknownst to both man and deities, the Russians involved in this project–Igor Kozin, Robert Mauser, Igor Ryabov, and Nikolai Mikhailov–spent nine months embossing and painting the buffalo leather to look like crocodile. Unfortunately, they didn’t spend an extra couple of months developing a tooth-filled grille.

Bentley Details the 2011 Mulsanne

Wednesday, March 3, 2010 9:00AM - By

Bentley has issued the full spec list on its upcoming Mulsanne sedan. The large-bodied sedan is thrust forward by a twin-turbocharged 6.75-liter V8 engine that channels 505 horses and 752 lb-ft of torque through an eight-speed ZF transmission and onto the rear wheels. While that set-up might be more than enough to break the four-second barrier if outfitted on a light-bodied sports coupe, the Mulsanne’s 5,700 pounds slow the 0 to 60 mph figure down to 5.1 seconds–still nothing to complain about. The big boy gets all the way up to 184 mph before reaching its limit.
