Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera In Motion

Before you get too excited about the Superleggera video embedded below, we should note that it wasn’t filmed on a track or beautiful byway running through the Dolomites. It’s simply a video of the key-lime Lambo spinning around on its pedestal at the Geneva Motor Show. While we’d rather see the LP570-4 Superleggera in action, the video does provide an intimate, f0ur-minute look at every crease, line and corner. Oh and there’s some sexy, dolled-up European show models mixed in too.

For a quick recap, Lamborghini sawed over 150 lbs. off the Gallardo, bringing it under 3,000. The Bull also added 10 horses, making for a 3.4-second 0 to 62 sprint and 202 mph top speed. [via Carscoop]

Audi A1 Gets a Little Sportier With S-Line Packages

The Audi A1 became official in the halls of the Geneva Motor Show just days ago, and Audi has followed that up with details on the S-Line package for the small hatchback. The S-Line Sport package will bring a little extra zip and pep to the A1 through stiffened suspension and larger wheels and tires. The package offers 17- or 18-inch alloy wheels, adjustable suspension kit and leather sports seats and steering wheel.

Conveying that subtle sportiness to the world, Audi also provides a variety of body work including a new roof spoiler, side sills, modified bumpers and larger air intakes. These body upgrades will also be available in the S-Line Exterior package, which doesn’t include the wheels, leather or suspension kit. [via MotorAuthority]

Wow, we thought we’d seen some weird, head-jerking concepts and sports cars in Geneva already, but this one takes the pie–probably the entire bakery. The car was built as a piece of hate-art an homage to Swiss racing legend Fredy Lienhard.

Designed by Frank Sbarro, the one-off concept is just wrong from every conceivable angle. The recessed front end looks like something out of a horror film, complete with what appear to the naked eye as limb-shearing saw blades. The flat windshield. The flaring nostrils. The up-swinging cockpit entry. Wrong, wrong and wronger.

The only thing right about the concept is the 550 hp Ferrari V12 engine fitted in back. But even that waste of a good engine should be construed as indisputably wrong. [via Nitrobahn]

Carlsson C25: Yet Another Geneva SuperRide

We were pretty excited about the Carlsson C25 when we saw it previewed last week, but seeing it in the flesh is much better than the renderings. If you told us that a new supercar featured a silver and black paint scheme with bright orange accents, our gag reflex would go into action, but seeing it under the lights on the showroom floor, we like the look. One of just 25 C25′s being built, the color scheme was chosen by the customer in question.

The C25 is certainly not all about looks. The modified Mercedes SL 600 packs a 753 hp bi-turbo V12 engine that more than justifies the loud racing stripe. The car reaches 62 mph in 3.7 seconds and provides a total of 218 mph worth of speed.

The 25 Carlsson C25′s will be offered in a one-per-country scheme in each country where they’re available. [via AutoBlog]

Beautiful Citroen Survolt and Beautiful Minx Team-Up for Promo Video

We’ve seen Geneva’s biggest superstars in the metal and carbon, and now it’s time to see them in action. Joining our just-published video of the Audi-RS5 is a video of Citroen’s jaw-dropping Survolt concept. There is a glaring lack of details surrounding the Survolt concept, but you’ll forget all about that as you watch it share the spotlight with a sexy, red-lipped Euro-vixen all dressed up in her best sequins and heels (and later leather for you rambunctious types). This one sure beats whatever work you were going to be doing in the next minute and a half. [via egmCarTech]

New Audi RS5 Becomes Video Star

Audi presented its new 2011 RS5 coupe at the Geneva Motor Show and now has a little video to show that the two-door isn’t just a pretty, rouged face. Powered by a 4.2-liter V8 engine with seven-speed dual-clutch, the RS5 is pulled by 450 horses, making for a 62 mph run of 4.6 seconds and 155 mph top speed. The coupe includes quattro all-wheel drive with a new crown gear differential.

Gumpert Apollo Supercar Gets Extra Juice

What good is the Geneva Motor Show if you can’t learn about slight improvements upon European supercars that you may or may not have known even exist? The Gumpert Apollo S isn’t a 2010 release, but it may just be saying hello to you for the first time.

Gumpert has made a few improvements on its supercar that it showcased at Geneva, including adding 50 horses (up to 750 hp) by improving cooling and optimizing engine control. Gumpert has also shortened the gear shifts as low as 40 milliseconds, making for smoother shifting.

The German automaker has also introduced a right-hand version and updated the Apollo S with improved downforce from new tail flaps and LED running lights up front. [via AutoBlog]

Bufori Geneva Saloon Is Almost There (And If You Drive One, So Are You)

The Bufori Geneva saloon pictured above certainly looks like an expensive gentleman’s car. Unfortunately for the driver tucked behind that never-ending front-end, it looks a little like the car of a gentleman that can’t really afford a proper Rolls or Bentley so has opted for a Malaysian knock-off instead. In fact, we’re pretty confident that if street husslers could figure out a way of stashing large luxury sedans on a street corner, they’d be dealing in Bufori Genevas.

Despite its flat look, Bufori has used a deft hand on the Geneva and outfitted it with carbon/kevlar body and top-grade stainless-steel chassis. The car is driven by a Chrysler 6.1-liter V8 worth 430 hp and includes plenty of amenities like ABS, Traction Control and Lane Departure Warning System. Customers can further enhance the inside and out with a slew of options including plenty of body color options, trim, veneer, leather textures and enhancements like espresso machines, ice boxes, humidors and mood lighting.

We’re pretty sure whatever all that costs, the Geneva simply won’t look the price. [via Carscoop]

Mansory Is Back With the Mercedes G-Couture

We’re not generally huge fans of Mansory’s work. Just take a look at what they did to the Rolls Royce Ghost if you’re wondering why. But there’s something alright about the Mansory G-Couture. Sure it sounds like the name of a gay rapper. Sure you don’t really need carbon fiber woven all over top your jeep. But, then again, you don’t really need a Mercedes G 55 AMG either. So we’re giving a rare nod in Mansory’s direction here.

Obviously, the G-Couture gets wrapped in carbon fiber, but it’s not just any carbon fiber; it’s carbon fiber that’s been compressed in a special pressure chamber to remove all the air inclusions. The Mercedes also gets nearly 200 extra horses thanks to the swapping out of components with SLR components. The output is raised up to 700 hp with 590 lb-ft of torque. The jeep sits on one-piece 23-inch rims with Pirelli Scorpions.

Mansory will offer the G-Couture in the exclusive amount of lucky seven. [via WCF]

Bertone Pulls the Covers Off Second Geneva Alfa Romeo Concept

Design firm Bertone has added its own take on 100th anniversary Alfa Romeo styling to the Pininfarina 2uettottanta concept that we featured yesterday. Slightly longer and wider than the Pininfarina, but also lower, the Pandion sits at 4620 mm x 1971 mm x 1230 mm (l x w x h) with a 2,850 mm wheelbase. The car is driven by a 450 hp 4.7-liter Alfa Romeo V8.

The first car design project under the direction of new Design and Brand Director Mike Robinson takes inspiration from the feathered world. Pandion Haliaetusis the scientific name for an osprey, which is where the vehicle pulls its swooping glass doors and angular facial characteristics from.

Bertone explains a little more about its intent:

“The design of the Pandion is based on a concept Robinson calls: “Skin & Frame” – a new interpretation of the inherent duality in the 100 year old Alfa Romeo logo. “Skin” refers to the snake in the logo, representing the world renowned Italian excellence in beautiful, seductive forms; and “Frame” refers to the cross in the logo, representing the mechanical excellence in high performance Italian race cars. The combination of the two has now become a dynamic dial searching for an ideal balance resulting from the tension between opposites: technology and sensuality, rational and emotional, architectural layout and sculptural form, structural and organic, industrial excellence and artisan excellence.”

Citroen Survolt Concept Stuns in Switzerland

French automaker Citroen isn’t exactly a household name here in the States, but after this Survolt concept, it probably will be–at least for a few days. One of the true stunners on display at the Geneva Motor Show, the concept is a style-conscious, efficient all-out performer that merges power, design and all-electric driving.

Luckily for Citroen, the car looks good because it didn’t give us much to go on outside a couple handfuls worth of promises. The company says that it offers a ”motor racing punch” but doesn’t weigh itself down with acceleration or top speed figures. The company didn’t get too specific on the powertrain either, stating only that it is an evolution of last year’s Revolte hybrid concept, a typical rechargeable hybrid system with all-electric driving mode.

Infiniti Launches M35 Hybrid Sedan

Hybrids aren’t exactly unique at the Geneva Motor Show, but they’re positive nonetheless. Infiniti used the show to launch the hybrid version of its M35 sedan called the M35 Hybrid. The car is Infiniti’s first hybrid vehicle and will also represent Nissan’s first hybrid system designed totally in-house.

The M35 keeps the M sedan’s 3.5-liter V6 engine and adds a 68 hp electric motor and hybrid drive system, which is billed as “Infiniti Direct Response Hybrid”. The rear-wheel-drive car features a twin-clutch and lithium-ion battery pack.

The M35 Hybrid will hit the market in spring of 2011. [via LeftLaneNews]
