murcielago lp 670 4 superveloce china2 Beijing: Lamborghini Murcielago LP670 4 SV China Limited Edition

Lamborghini has unveiled a very limited edition Murcielago LP670-4 SuperVeloce for the Chinese market. Changes seem to be limited to a flat grey with orange racing stripe paint scheme. Also, some sort of snake-like orange squiggly appears on the quarter panel. The interior continues the theme with a variety of orange accents including stitching. The racing stripe is supposedly made to represent a volcano eruption.

Frankly, the LP670-4 SV really didn’t need to get too more special with its suped-up V12 engine and lightened physique. The car hits 6o mph in 3.2 seconds and tops out at 212 mph.

Only 10 units of the limited edition will make their way to China. [via MotorAuthority]

Appealing to wealthy Chinese consumers at the Beijing Auto Show, Bentley has introduced two new Continental special editions that it calls the Design Series China. As one might expect from the name, the new Continental GT and Continental Flying Spur Speed are distinguished largely by cosmetic changes. You can see the Orange and Magenta exterior colors, which make their debut on the Design Series China models. Inside, the cars get a unique, three-toned leather interior with accent and insert colors.

Not much changes in terms of specs, but the two models do benefit from a comfort suspension setting. Enjoy a full look after the button. [via MotorAuthority]

Mercedes Shooting Break71 Video Look at the Mercedes Benz Shooting Break

Ever since seeing the new Mercedes-Benz Shooting Break concept on Monday, I’ve been itching to get a closer look. And while we’ll have to wait until Beijing to get the full hands on, we can now live vicariously through this wide-eyed German dude with stripey tie.

The video is about a minute and a half and provides an excellent look at the new concept from both the inside and out. Despite the annoying 60-second countdown gimmick, it’s a solid watch.

If you didn’t catch it, the Shooting Break is a sneak peak at the next-gen CLS that features a 306-hp 3.5-liter V6 engine. [via egmCarTech]

Mercedes Shooting Break6 Mercedes Benz Shooting Break Concept Introduced

For the 2010 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition, Mercedes has introduced the Shooting Break Concept. What looks a lot like a F800 with a little more junk in the trunk is a preview of the next-generation CLS. It includes the world premier of the full dynamic LED headlights, which make use of 71 individual LEDs divided into three separate layers to “offer all of the regular dynamic light functions using LED technology.”

The concept is powered by a 306-hp 3.5-liter V6 engine, which is the forerunner of the upcoming V-engine. Mercedes describes the engine: “[it is] in line with the BlueEFFICIENCY criteria of Mercedes-Benz also sets new standards among the competition in terms of fuel consumption.”

There’s plenty more pictures and video on this one after the break. Enjoy. [via WCF]

ECO-OD: Beijing-Bound SAIC Leaf Concept

leaf concept 3 ECO OD: Beijing Bound SAIC Leaf Concept

We didn’t really think it  was possible to outgreen the M-Org motorcycle (especially just a day later), but Chinese company SAIC has done it with flair. The Leaf Concept is headed for the Beijing Motor Show, and, instead of carbon, it will be spewing out organic veggies and soy milk on its way there.

More than just eco-art, the leafy goodness on the roof is actually a disguised solar panel designed to power the car and emit oxygen. Additional power is provided by the in-wheel turbines mounted around the corners.

Sure sounds nice, but we’re pretty sure none of that tech will actually work in real life. But, like the M-org, it’s a real piece to look at. [via Jalopnik]
