Speculation and Renderings on Subaru/Toyota Coupe

After the world got a peak at the FT-86 concept from Toyota and Subaru at the Tokyo Motor Show last week, the rough visual details of the joint venture were etched out. Rather than satisfaction, this has created an intensified hunger for a look at Subaru’s version of the sports coupe. The above rendering was printed by Japanese car mag Best Car and shows a clearly Subed-up FT-86 complete with hood scoop, blue paint, fog lights and redesigned headlamps. Outside of the hideous gold rims, it looks like an attractive alternative. Though the two carmakers stated that the car would feature rear-wheel-drive, the latest rumors include AWD and a turbocharged boxer for the 2011 Subaru model.
