Rumors on Upcoming Porsche 911 Turbo S
By Chris Weiss
The ink has barely dried on press about the new 911 Turbo hitting Frankfurt in a couple weeks and already gearheads are craving more power. And they’re pretty confident that Porsche can deliver what with the new 3.8-liter direct-injected twin turbo engine sitting under its hood waiting for a little tinkering. According to speculation from Team Speed, we may not have to wait long for a 997 version of the Turbo S to join those of years past. It’s expected in spring of 2010 with horsepower boosted into the 540 to 550 range. Ceramic brakes, RS-style center wheel locks and modified body are also being speculated. Of course, the bottom could easily fall out from under this one at any moment, but we hope to see it come to pass. [via AutoBlog]
