Rolls Royce To Make a Hybrid Version of the Ghost

When we first laid eyes on the upcoming Rolls Royce Ghost, it was love at first sight. Perhaps it’s the color minimization in the pictures that helps to add a bit of subtle class and make the smooth lines pop that much more. Regardless, it’s a thing of beauty.
According to reporting from AutoCar, there will soon be more to love. A hybrid version is in the works, and it will borrow some design from the BMW ActiveHybrid 7. An electric motor will assist the Ghost’s 563-hp 6.2L V12 toward a fuel savings of 15 percent. Unfortunately, no electric-only mode is slated, but the hybrid will allow the large, powerful apparition to enjoy a 17mpg rating. [via egmCarTech]
