Resilient Technologies Non-Pneumatic Tire

Take your eyes of the sexy, little private for a second and try focusing in on the wheel. This is the Resilient Technologies Non-Pneumatic Tire that is being developed in cooperation with the US Military. The wheel is designed to supplement tactical field capabilities of military Humvees by allowing the vehicles to drive on in the event of pressure loss. There is no limit to range or driving speed, unlike current Humvee tire capabilities that are limited to 30 miles at 30 mph. The ultra-rugged tires have a service life of 100,000 miles and are designed to stand up to the rigors of the battlefield. A prototype should be available in 2011.
