Protoscar Lampo2 Concept Geneva Teaser
By Chris WeissDespite being blinded by the oncoming headlights, from what we can see, the Swiss-designed Protoscar Lampo2 EV concept is slicker than the original. The Lampo was debuted at the last Geneva Motor Show and was an AWD electric concept that delivered 268 horsepower.
The Lampo2 builds on the original concept and cuts weight while improving overall aerodynamics. Assuming there aren’t any unwelcome surprises beyond the bright lights, it looks pretty damn good doing it, too.
The concept features two electric motors worth 354 horses. A 30 kWh li-ion battery pack provides up to 124 miles of range per charge. The concept claims a 0 to 62 time of 5 seconds. Like the original Lampo, the idea of the Lampo2 is to ease company minds by offsetting the power used by the car with a solar plant in Italy.
The Lampo2 will be following in the footsteps of its big brother with a Geneva 2010 debut, but we’ll probably hear a little more about it before then. [via WCF]
