If you’ve been following Porsche for the past year or so, it’s clear they’re fond of hybrids. They launched the 918 Spyder concept in Geneva, the Cayenne S Hybrid in New York, and they have both a Panamera S Hybrid and Panamera plug-in in the works.

According to design chief Wolfgang Dürheimer, Porsche won’t be stopping until there’s a hybrid powertrain equipped to every one of its models. Dürheimer didn’t commit to a specific time frame, but indicated that Stuttgart does plan to have hybrid models for each of its vehicles, meaning a hybrid 911, Cayman and Boxster are on the way.

The company is also toying with the idea of offering direct-injected turbo four cylinder engines, and keeping its vehicles the same weight from model year to model year. All of its efforts are part of a strategy designed to meet tightening European emissions regulations. [via AutoNews]
