Porsche 918 Spyder Hybrid to Cost 500,000 Euros

Well, the minute I laid eyes on Porsche’s 918 Spyder Hybrid, I knew that if they actually produced it, it wasn’t coming cheap. And, indeed my not-so-insightful hypothesis was correct. According to a Bloomberg report, Porsche plans to base the 918 out at 500,000 euros, which would equate to about $630,000 if they priced it today.
In the same report, Bloomberg states that Porsche has received more than 2,000 letters of interest, a figure that doubles the 1,000 mark that Porsche wanted before committing to producing the car. Porsche has still not confirmed production, and the numbers in Bloomberg’s report came from two anonymous sources familiar with plans. The official decision will come later this year.
