Pagani Offers Up One-Off Zonda Tricolore for Geneva
By Chris Weiss
With the new Pagani C9 on its way, the supercar maker is sending off its Zonda in style with a final, limited-edition variant called the Tricolore. The most immediately noticeable part of the Tricolore is the distinct, semi-transparent-blue paint job that gives onlookers an eyeful of the carbon fiber underneath. The car’s name comes from its tribute to the Italian air force, seen in the aforementioned jet-fighter color scheme and inclusion of red, green and white striping.
The Tricolore is based upon the Zonda Cinque, Pagani’s ultra-high-performance, street-legal version, and is powered by the same 678 hp 7.3-liter V12 engine. That engine pushes the Tricolore to 62 in just 3.4 seconds while a set of Brembo brakes reverse that chain (62 to 0) in just 2.1 seconds.
If you’re hoping to get your hands on a Tricolore, you better get in line, and you better have some deep bank; only one example will be built and it’s expected to fetch $1.75 million. [via LeftLaneNews and egmCarTech]
