“No Thank You” to the Kia Soul Ignition Special Edition

Don’t know that potential Kia Soul drivers are the most likely to be fiending for a sporty special edition, but Kia is offering this Soul Ignition just the same. It’s now available in the U.S. for a starting price of $17,500.

So what’s so special? One of the main features separating this one from the standard Soul is that striking paint job. And by striking, I mean blunt force trauma. Kia’s calling it “ignition orange”, but I’m thinking of it more as diarrhea-meets-vomit brown-orange. Limited, perhaps–special, not so much. At least the racing stripe steals back a little of that body real estate.

Beyond the questionable paint scheme, the special edition gets 18-inch alloy wheels, body kit, fender vents with side marker repeaters, alloy fuel door and fog lights. [via WCF]
