Nissan Will Offer a Special Edition Z For 40th Anniversary
Oct 15, 2009 - By Chris WeissPerhaps more than any other car in its stables, the Z is a Nissan legend. The stylish sports car has been strutting its stuff for 40 full years (as of 10/22), and to recognize this milestone, Nissan will be offering a special edition next spring. Originally released in the U.S. in 1969 as the Datsun 240 Z, the latest Z incarnation is the 370Z. The special edition Nissan 370Z 40th Anniversary Edition coupe will feature a variety of interior and exterior upgrades including a “40th Quartz” paint job, red brake calipers, 19-inch Rays wheels, red leather interior, red stitching, and 40th anniversary designations on the floormats, rear hatch and front strut tower brace. Buyers will also get an authenticity plaque and satin car cover. The Anniversary Edition will be based on the Touring coupe and will include the Sports package and manual transmission. Prices will be revealed closer to the spring 2010 launch. [via AutoBlog]
