2010 nissan armada Nissan Recalls Affect Half a Million Vehicles

We had some technical issues yesterday, so this announcement is a little later than usual, but it’s a big one, so we’re going to endure the lateness and post it anyway. Nissan announced two recalls that will affect a total of 539,864 vehicles.

The first recall relates to faulty brake pedal pins. The brake pedal pin has disengaged in three reported incidents and caused loss of regular braking function. Models involved in this recall are 2008 to 2010 Titan, Armada, Quest and Infiniti QX56 vehicles.

The second recall revolves around faulty fuel gauges that can indicate more fuel than is actually in the tank. Models affected are the 2005 to 2008 Nissan Titan, Armada and Infiniti QX56, and Nissan Frontier, Pathfinder and Xterra models built between January and March ’06 and October ’07 and January ’08. (At least if you’re driving an ’08 Titan, Armada or QX56 you can knock down two birds).

Both recalls will begin this month.

It looks like Nissan joins the other two members of Japan’s big-three in the recall race. [via Inside Line]
