Next-Generation Lincoln MKX Makes Its Debut
By Chris Weiss
Ford has used the North American International Auto Show to debut the 2011 Lincoln MKX, which has undergone significant modifications inside and out.
We’ll start under the hood, where Ford has updated the MKX with a new 3.7-liter V6 engine that puts out 305 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque. The new engine is paired with a six-speed SelectShift automatic gearbox. Other key mechanical revisions include new disc brakes, Hill Start Assist–designed to eliminate roll back on hills, and tuned suspension.
Inside, the MKX benefits from Ford/Lincoln’s recently announced MyLincoln system, which uses a configuration of LCD screens and controls to better integrate driver control over the multitude of interior functions. New materials and trim complete the interior revisions. Get to know the revised styling in the gallery below. [via Carscoop]
