New Video and Info on the Bugatti 16C Galibier Concept
By Chris WeissIt’s always exciting when a car goes from visually stunning concept to production model. That’s never more true than when the car in question is a Bugatti powered by the Veyron’s 8-liter, 16-cylinder engine. While Bugatti has stopped short of confirming that the powerful 16 C Galibier four-door will be an official production model, it released some press material today stating it is shopping the concept with potential consumers and opinion makers in LA, likely in anticipation of an appearance at the LA Auto Show.
The Galibier, which Bugatti dubs the world’s most powerful four-door automobile, is said to be one of several possible cars that we could see from Bugatti in the future. In addition to the massive powerplant, the 16C Galibier concept derives prestige from technologies including flex-fuel capability, purposely-built ceramic disc brakes and four-wheel drive. Ensuring that the car is more than just a powerful, grumbling beast, interior touches include a removable Parmigiani Swiss watch and streamlined instrument panel.
