New Porsche 911 Turbo Shaves 10 Seconds off Nurburgring Time
By Chris WeissThose wondering how the new 3.8-liter twin-turbo six-cylinder engine of the 2010 Porsche 911 Turbo would affect its performance now have a pretty clear answer. It has been reported that the new 911 Turbo ran through Nurburgring in 7 minutes 39 seconds, which represents a 10-second loss off the previous 911 Turbo’s time. The new rendition of the timeless Porsche adds 20 hp over the last version’s 3.6-liter engine (up to 500 hp) and also shaves about 55 pounds of weight off. For those who won’t get a spin in the Ring anytime soon, the 2010 911 Turbo provides a 0 to 62 time of 3.4 seconds, so there’s still plenty of fun to be had for you as well. [via WCF]
