New Pictures of Hennessey Venom GT

Power fanatics have been patiently waiting for the Hennessey Venom. The Lotus Elise meets LS9 was the subject of some new pictures released by Hennessey, which replace the renderings we were working with and give a look at the stunning piece of matte black composite.
The Hennessey Venom GT comes in 725, 1000 and 1200 hp varieties. It pairs 2,400 lbs. worth of Lotus Elise with a ZR1-sourced 6.2-liter LS9 V8. That combination is enough to provide huge performance numbers: a reported 2.4-second 0 to 62 mph and a 262 mph top speed.
Hennessey only plans to produce 10 Venom GTs per year and the price tag is upwards of $600K. Buyers will be offered a one-day, on-track instruction program on the car. [via Inside Line]
