New Pagani May Be The ‘Huayra’
By Chris Weiss
A new report out of Italy today indicates that Pagani may be replacing the codename ‘C9′ with the production name ‘Huayra’ for its new supercar. The automaker registered the name and is believed to be positioning it for its next-gen supercar. The name follows in Pagani’s tradition of naming cars after South American winds, as it means “wind” in a native Andean language called Quechua. It doesn’t roll off the tongue like ‘C9′, but it’s definitely more interesting.
Whatever it’s called, the new Pagani is expected to be a 700-hp beast that should debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March. [via AutoBlog]
