Monday Afternoon Car Porn: Spyker C8 Aileron and Spyder at NY Auto Show

I’m still sifting through hundreds of NY Auto Show photos for the cream of the crop. If Spyker’s C8 Aileron and Spyder aren’t the cream of the crop, I don’t think there’s a crop to cream.

Before it got into more pedestrian affairs, Saab’s newly ordained papa was all about ravishing supercars. The C8 Aileron features a 400 hp 4.2-liter V8 good for a 4.5-second 0 to 60 mph and 187 mph top speed. It weighs a little over the 3,000-lb. barrier at 3,142 lbs.

The Spyder convertible features the same engine and performance with a kerb weight of 2,750 lbs.

Both models feature distinctive, jet-inspired turbine inlets that help deliver the Spyker look.
