Maybach to Wind Down After One Last Update

Mercedes premium, ultra-luxury brand Maybach is soon to be extinct, according to a report on Auto Express. The three models of Mercedes’ elite of the elite will get one more redesign, which will offer slight modifications including new grilles and LED lights. After that, the brand will get wound down due to slumping sales.
The elimination of Maybach is a part of the grander scheme of elevating the next-generation S-Class to a higher luxury tier. Due for arrival in 2014, the new S-Class is slated to be one of the most high-tech Mercedes ever. Operations will center around the sci-fi-sounding Human Machine Interface, which uses a camera to detect motion and translate into selections on the display. [via Auto Express]
