Lotus Updates the Exige S240
By Chris WeissThis powerful, suped-up Lotus Elise is the redesigned 2010 Lotus Exige s240. Looking much like its 2009 predecessor, the new s240 gets a few tweaks including updated front end and new rear wing. The larger air intake in front allows for more air to pass through, providing superior cooling, while the outer side intakes cool the oil coolers. The new composite wing is borrowed from the Exige GT3 road concept and lessens drag while maintaining downforce and providing a “more muscular stance”. Lotus boasts that the car hits 0 to 60 in 4.1 seconds while still providing an impressive 26 mpg highway. The updated S240 will be available this fall for a starting price of $65, 690.
