Li-Ion Electric Supercar Coming Later This Year

Watch out Tesla, there’s a new all-electric supercar on the way. And it’s numbers are even better than yours.

North Carolina-based Li-Ion Motors announced recently that it will be launching the production version of its Inizio electric supercar later this year. The Inizio is capable of speeds up to 170 mph and acceleration as low as 3.4 seconds to 60 mph. It can travel up to 250 miles on lithium-ion power alone.

Li-Ion is already taking deposits on the $139,000 EV. The fully refundable deposits will cost $1,000.

Li-Ion will also produce the more practical Wave II, which will base at $39,000. [via WCF]
