Lamborghini Gives the Green Light To Sesto Elemento
By Chris Weiss
Well that didn’t take long. Lamborghini displayed its Sesto Elemento concept at the Paris Motor Show in September/October. Officially it was meant to be a demonstration of Lamborghini’s new guiding philosophy of lighweight components and reeled in engines.
Today, a French automotive site indicates that Lamborghini has given the go-ahead for a very limited production of seven to 10 models. The exclusive concept turned limited edition is expected to run a price of €2.5 million/$3.44 million.
If true, this is fantastic news. The Sesto was one of those concepts that you just hoped was a preview of a production car–even an extremely limited production car. It featured stripped down, composite construction that limited weight to 2,202 lbs. With its 570-hp 5.2-liter V10 engine, the car listed a 2.5-second 0-to-62 mph and 217 mph top speed.
