Kia Prepares Launch of UVO In-Vehicle Infotainment System
Jan 04, 2010 - By Chris WeissFor the past month or so, we’ve been hearing a lot about new technologies being incorporated into Ford’s Sync systems, like HD radio with iTunes tagging and Wi-Fi. Since hitting the scene in 2007, the Ford Sync has sat alone in the North American market without any competitors, but Kia plans to introduce its own similar system at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show.
The system is called UVO and is based on Windows Embedded Auto software. No additional information has yet been revealed, but Kia intends to debut the system tomorrow so it won’t be long until we get the full scoop. UVO will reportedly get some features that will set it apart from the competition. [via WCF]
