Jeep Wrangler J7, Another Mopar Military-Style Off-Roader
By Chris Weiss
The military aspect of this Mopar Wrangler J7 isn’t nearly as obvious as the NuKizer 715–at least not in that “Mustard Plug” paint, but that’s exactly where the inspiration came from. Designed to offer the same appeal as military-issued vehicles, Mopar pulled all the standard consumer equipment–stereo, carpet, alloy wheels–out of the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and added steel bumpers, steel wheels, ‘helicopter hooks’, a heavy-duty tailgate, two-inch suspension lift and 35-inch Mickey Thompson tires.
The jeep is powered by the Rubicon’s 3.8-liter V6 engine.
