Interest In Lexus LFA Well Beyond Supply

It would appear that the icy grasp of the recession hasn’t reached everyone. Lexus has already received expressions of interest for its LFA supercar in excess of the 500 models it plans to produce. Expressions of interest don’t necessarily translate into solid sales (hell, I’d express interest in it), but they do indicate that there is a strong demand for the $375,000 Lexus.
Those interested in the 552 hp V10-inspired sports car can still register with Lexus up until the end of the Geneva Motor Show. Lexus will select buyers from the pool and distribute the 500 LFAs across 56 countries. While that breaks down to less than 10 per country, the U.S. will enjoy a bounty of 150.
As reported two months ago, LFA buyers won’t be able to purchase the car outright, having to opt for a two-year lease with the potential to buy at the end. [via MotorAuthority]
