Hyundai Veloster Spied on the Streets
By Chris WeissAfter going through months of hot again/cold again rumors on whether the Veloster hatchback concept that Hyundai showed the world earlier in the year would enter production, a rough, camoed-out Hyundai that appears to be based on the concept was spied in South Korea. Given that the car is out testing, it’s likely that it will be ready for a 2011 launch, which was the original planned time frame.
Expected under the hood is a 1.6-liter four cylinder worth around 140 horses and 40 mpg. The Veloster (or whatever it’s called in production) will replace the Tiburon in Hyundai’s line and is expected to fall around $15,000 to start. [via LeftLaneNews]
