Honda Displays Inexpensive, Subcompact Concept in India
By Chris Weiss
Ordinarily subcompacts fall quite short of catching the eye, but this new concept from Honda has a distinct stance and styling that does just that. Introduced earlier today at the Auto Expo 2010 in New Delhi, the concept is Honda’s take on a low-cost, five-door hatch primed for emerging markets.
Unfortunately, Honda didn’t offer much in terms of drivetrain or build, but the Japanese automaker does plan to produce a model based on the concept starting in 2011. The production version will initially be aimed at eastern markets like India and Thailand, but it may travel west to select markets. I wouldn’t mind seeing this one slip into the States, though I’d be shocked if it did. [via Carscoop]
