Good News/Bad News: Porsche May Discontinue the Cayenne and Panamera

With Volkswagen set to buy 49 percent of Porsche, the latest rumor hailing from UK’s CAR Magazine is that the soon-to-be parent company will be ending the Porsche Cayenne and newly-released Porsche Panamera. Unfortunately (in the case of the Cayenne), this won’t happen for another seven years, when their product cycles are complete. The report cites that the reason for discontinuation is VW’s desire to eliminate redundant SUVs and sedans–vehicles VW already offers. We’ll miss the sporty style of the Panamera sedan, but the Cayenne can’t exit soon enough. [via egmCarTech]
