GM Might Reopen Plants to Meet Demand
By Chris Weiss
According to an Associated Press report, GM is considering opening up additional plants to keep pace with the increasing demand of some of its newer models. Speaking to the press, GM North America President Mark Reuss stated that the plants that build the Cadillac SRX, Chevy Equinox and Buick LaCrosse are already running at full capacity, and the auto giant may reopen additional plants if demand remains strong. One specific plant cited was the Spring Hill plant in Tennessee. GM has also placed its plant in Janesville, Wisconsin on standby.
Sounds like things might finally be starting to move in the right direction for GM. [via AutoBlog]
