2010 Ford Fusion Motor Trend Car of the Year Ford Fusion Wins Motor Trend Car of the Year Honors

It’s been a pretty good year for the Ford Fusion, which has enjoyed distinctions such as top 10 bestselling car in the country and one of the highest models in consumer loyalty over the past several weeks. Today, it adds one more well-respected distinction to the list with the announcement that Motor Trend has selected it as the 2010 Car of the Year. The Fusion won out over a field of 23 other new and majorly overhauled 2010 vehicles.

Factors considered included on-road testing of braking, acceleration, noise and responsiveness, and additional considerations like design, value and efficiency. Motor Trend editor Angus MacKenzie praised the Fusion and Ford: “Ford has proven its resilience in these tough times by delivering to market a car with broad appeal to a broad range of customers.”

Ford manages to maintain an almost cult following from one generation to another. I would really like to see alternative fuel source in these popular family vehicles.
