A new Ferrari 599 Hybrid will make its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show. The car will be based on technology developed by Ferrari’s F1 team. It is designed by Pininfarina.

The hybrid 599 will use a combination of petrol engine and electric motor(s) powered by lithium ion batteries. It will feature Ferrari’s Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) and regenerative braking.

Hybrid technology will increase fuel economy by 35 percent–up to around a still-low-but-better 14 mpg.

Look for the 599 Hybrid once Geneva gets underway in early March. [via WCF]
