Ferrari 599 GTO Captured on Video
By Chris Weiss
We don’t usually like to play favorites among carmakers, but we’d be lying if we didn’t admit the return of the GTO is one of the events that most excites us about 2010. We’ve seen some spy shots of the high-performance 599 and now we’ve gotten our hands on some spy video–always a superior medium for viewing up-in-coming supercars.
The video, which appears to be a candid shot by a novice (very novice) filmer, is under 10 seconds, but shows what looks just like the 599 GTO assaulting a piece of asphalt at Nurburgring. Hell, the sound alone is worth hitting play for.
Little concrete detail has been offered on the GTO, but it’s clear that it will be lighter and more powerful than the 599 GTB. The car will use the same 6.0-liter V12, but is expected to get upgraded output of 650 to 700 hp. [via Carscoop]

700 hp! My dad says only Pontiac should be GTO’s but I disagree. This is a real race car.
