Electric Rolls Royce Phantom In The Works?
By Alex Ion
Rumors have it that one of the most luxurious car makers in the world, Rolls Royce, will soon appeal to the green minded with an electric Phantom. According to an unnamed company spokesman, the brand is considering adding a relatively large lithium-ion battery to the three-ton Rolls Royce Phantom. However, the biggest drawback for such a move is actually making the car powerful and giving it a relatively useful range between charges. Hence why a small-capacity range-entending engine based on BMW’s Vision EfficientDynamics Concept would be a good choice to keep those batteries in shape. So how about you, would you drive in a silent Roller? [via Autoblog]
