Edo Tunes Itself: 840 HP Ferrari Enzo XX Evolution
By Chris Weiss
Here at MotorCrave, we’re more than accustomed to covering tuned supercars. What we’re not quite as used to seeing is tuned tunes on cars as speced out as the Edo Competition Enzo XX. Not two months ago, the Ferrari tunerĀ brought us the Enzo XX. The boy was a beast, boasting 800 horsepower, 3.2 seconds to 62, and a 236 mph top speed. Not good enough, apparently. Edo has done some further tinkering and presents the Enzo XX Evolution. Increasing the 6.0-liter V12 engine to 6.3 liters, speeding up shift times to an incredible 60 milliseconds, installing new camshafts, modified cylinder heads, high flow catalytic converters and performing a handful of other tweaks, Edo has brought the Enzo up to a whopping 840 horsepower while shaving 220 lbs off its weight. The new engine will also rev all the way to 9600 rpm. The result? Top speed inches close to the Veyron at over 242 mph and the car hits 0 to 124 mph in just 9 seconds. Adding a little aesthetics are a retractable rear wing, LED taillights and rear skirt with winglets. [via WCF]
