Dodge Celebrates (Insults) Challenger’s Birthday With ‘Furious Fuschia’

Chrysler has issued a set of limited-edition Furious Fuschia Dodge Challengers in recognition of the muscle mogul’s 40th anniversary. The scheme will be offered in both R/T Classic and SRT8 varieties. The Fuschia doesn’t have any reason to be furious, but the Challenger certainly does–has the automaker been resenting it for the past 40 years?
Whether you gotta’ have one or gag at the sight, the Furious Fuschia models are hitting roads–400 models for the SRT8 and a limited run for the R/T Classic. The unmistakable exterior paint can be matched with Pearl White seats with Furious Fuschia stitching. The SRT8 includes 20-inch SRT forged-aluminum wheels, serialized dash plaque and retro-inspired chrome exhaust tips.
The special editions will be available for order at dealerships beginning in March. The R/T Classic version starts at $35, 140, while the SRT8 starts at $45, 150. [via AutoBlog]

why is this article titled to be about chargers, but is actually about challengers?

LMAO… Homophobe much?
If I remember correctly, it was popular to have them in lime green. Would that be any better for ya? Paint it pink for all I care, it's still a Challenger. If you wanna nitpick, how about the way they ruined the Charger's legacy? How much worse will a color really make things? Chevy did much better with the Camaro, so if anyone is spending that much money on a car(which is ridiculously expensive), I'm sure most of them will be getting the Camaro anyway. Nice mini-rant though.

If anybody doesn't know, and it seems even the writer is unaware of this, this colour (or one very similar) was introduced as a factory option in 1970. It was called Moulin Rouge on a Plymouth, Panther Pink on a Dodge and is paint code FM3.
